There’s a number of things you should look for when selecting a shredding company. First, find out if it provides on-site shredding or off-site shredding. You can ask if they are NAID certified. If yes, ask some questions about the service and rates. If they are not NAID certified, make sure they meet all Federal and State Laws regarding document destruction and how they do that. NAID certified shredding companies must shred in compliance with all those laws in order to get certified. Ask if the shredding company is environmentally friendly and recycles the paper afterwards. The important thing is to ask enough questions so you feel comfortable that your private and confidential files will be destroyed safely and securely.

You should always keep private and confidential files that are being disposed for shredding in a locked container. NEVER throw them in the recycling or garbage as this can be very dangerous. There are a large variety of containers with different styles and purposes. We can help you decide which bins or containers will be suitable for your business. In some instances we provide containers at no cost to the client.
